“You don’t want me then you don’t want your penis!”—>Says the woman who chopped off the genitalia!

Bangladesh mother of three, Monju Begum, was apparently tired of her neighbor trying to sexually harass her that she Lorena Bobbitted him yesterday evening and took his manhood to the police station in an effort to show good faith.  Well, maybe not good faith but hey she gave it back!

As reported in BBC, 40-year-old Monju says her neighbor’s harassment turned violent as he tried to rape her. As a result of her defending herself, she detached his genitalia from his body.  However, Mr. Mazi, her alleged attacker, tells another story.  He admits he had consentual sex with the woman and has been doing so for months.  But when he broke the news to Ms. Begum that he was not leaving his family for her she got angry and retaliated. 

Now, Dee doesn’t condone violence nor cheating.  But I think the funniest part of this story is her effort to bring back his penis to the police station and re-attach it.  Now I’m no expert in these matters, but if this was a case of rape, then why would you care about him having good use of his penis?  Hell, even Lorena Bobbitt threw her husband’s manhood out on the side of the highway.  Not judging, Just saying!

Oh, did I mention Mr. Mazir can’t attach his penis back due to the length of time it was disconnected…YEAH HE MAD!

Whatever truth eventually comes out of these two, they both have some serious explaining to do. In the meantime, I’m dedicating a couple of Atlantic Starr Old School Joints to them to help them relax a bit! They both seem a little upset!

Genderless Child Rearing: Are parents being helpful or harmful to their child’s development?

As I was tuned in to one of my local news morning reports last week, I caught an interesting story that I decided to share with my great discussionists!  Apparently, there is a child rearing method that is becoming popular with parents called Genderless Child Rearing.  Some parents feel that rearing children without their gender being a factor is not only healthy for them but will help them be successful in today’s society.

Not sure if Diva Dee agrees…but hey,  it’s not my child so who am I to judge?

A Canadian couple, Kathy Witterick and David Stocker, has decided that it is in their most recent child’s best interest to rear him/her without revealing their gender to the public.  They continue to ignore the constant questioning from neighbors daily asking the sex of the child. Even though the couple has a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old, they have been able to keep the sex of the child a secret. Only the parents, the two midwives who delivered the child and the siblings know the sex.

As reported on Parent Central.com, the parents had some very crucial points for making their decisions about how they are rearing their newborn, Storm:
“If you really want to get to know someone, you don’t ask what’s between their legs,” says Stocker.
“In fact, in not telling the gender of my precious baby, I am saying to the world, ‘Please can you just let Storm discover for him/herself what s (he) wants to be?!.” Witterick writes in an email.

Now, I’m all about letting people express themselves and be free, but when does a newborn have this right?  I guess when the parents give it to them.  My assumption is that with the ridicule that children face trying to express themselves as they become adolescents, specifically with their sexual orientation, the Canadian parents are trying to avoid having their child deal with these issues.  But I think that this method of child rearing may do more harm than good.  Self-identification is important when making adolescent decisions.  If you are not sure how to express yourself based on society’s normal gender guidelines, how can you feel comfortable living in society?

I’m all about protecting the children, but I think the parents have missed the mark on HOW they should really be protecting their child.  But in their defense, I’m sure they may be trying to avoid having a Cher moment and waking up finding their Chastity has turned into a Chaz.
